Getting more impressed with Firefox day by day. Discovered a new extension Stumbleupon wherein you can specify your areas of interest and it then randomly takes you to related sites. In two days , I have come across many beauties which I may not have come across otherwise.

Weekend watch

I saw Sarkaar & Mangal Pandey over the weekend. Sarkaar was good. No wonder Bal Thackarey didn’t have any objections about this movie. There are absolutely no grey shades to the character supposedly based on him. The performances however were awesome and that’s what rescued the film. I like these new films with no songs though I am a music freak. You could interchange the “though” with “because” in my previous sentence because I am a film freak too.

Ganguly vs Chappell was the biggest story as far as cricket fans go. No comments. Very sad state of affairs.

Happy Birthday to myself!!!

I celebrated my 30th birthday during the weekend. Feels great. This has a mature feel to it. I used to be proud that I was born in the same year Sholay released. :-) Today I found that Microsoft was founded in the same year as well. I don't know what to make of it. I am a Open Source Enthusiast, so its kind of bitter sweet. However unlike the fanatics, I don't hate M$ for the sake of hating it, rather I like Linux for its virtues.

Awake on caffeine

Had a dose of high caffeine Starbucks coffee to keep awake. Its 3.30 am and I have one more hour of work to do. In between waiting for my colleague to get his stuff ready, i thought i will revisit my blog.

India seem to have started well against New Zealand. Let's see how it ends. Missing home a lot, will be there by the end of the week.
